The character driven comic book is an unabashed teenage super-soap where everything comes secondary to the characters real lives. Readers are introduced to Paige, Kevin, Cameron and Violet. Four teens dealing with fantastic powers in a realistic way. But STT (as it is known to insiders) is by no means an edgy MTV book. It addresses living in a super-hero world in a fun and light-hearted way, much like Spider-Girl or Invincible. What sets Super Teen*Topia apart from the other crop of teen books is that it is more in the vein of Ferris Bueller's Day Off than Uncanny X-Men. Series writer Kirk Kushin says, "If Stan Lee and John Hughes had a love child, Super Teen*Topia would be the result." The regular series begins in May as Super Teen*Topia launches into super powered high school hi-jinks. And, unlike those miserable high school memories you're trying to suppress, STT features cute girls who will actually talk to geeky guys!
