You already know that I like it a lot! I reread it again and have a feeling that it is just a beginniing of a larger story - is that right?? :-) 1 Reply [ Latest posted on February 18th, 2007 11:44 AM ]

Sorry, I haven't been back onto Comicspace awhile. ^^; And you're right. It was the beginning to a larger story. But I just didn't have the patience to continue. ^^;;;; Another time I suppose. I can always come back. :D |

RE: Comic Hosting in Da House! Hi Josh! Great job on this. I like the uploading system - it is efficient and easy. I wait to see how it will work with comments. Also how easy it will be to find a given webcomic among the huge amount of others. (maybe a place on the main page with 4-5 randomly featured comics would be good - so that everyone gets a bit of exposure independing on the number of fans or such?) On the contrary I find the Ads system somewhat obscure (but maybe it's just me..) - I suppose you would have more people doing this if it was a little more straight forward (f.ex - if you bid 3 USD - do you pay that everyday? How many slots are there? do they rotate? etc) Anyways, thank you for the good work! :-) 2 Replies [ Latest posted on February 4th, 2007 5:17 AM ]

There are just the 16 ad slots you see at the top. They don't rotate, but an ad is removed if another ad outbids it. So if you bid $3 per day and then someone else comes in and bids $4 per day your ad disappears. If your ad was displayed for 8 hours, you are charged $1 ($3 per day works out to 12/5 cents per hour). Hope this helps. |

Speaking of advertisement... how much is the banner ad at the *bottom* of the page? Currently I see "Comic Collector Live" has had it for about a week, or more.
As for the Ad boxes at the *top* the system works just as Josh said, even better since you can control the amount of money you plan to spend. I just hope these small amounts are helping ComicSpace pay the bills. |
