| Bulletin: | Montclair Art Museum Show - November 4, 2007! Nov. 4, Montclair Art Museum Comic Book Convention. Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Ave, Montclair, NJ 07042. Museum admission is $8 ($6 for seniors or students with ID, free to children under 12). There is no additional charge to attend the convention. Hours are 10-4. Workshops included with admission. This show is being held in conjunction with four major exhibitions at the museum including: "Reflecting Culture: The Evolution of American Comic Heroes." Come feast your eyes on an amazing display of comics from the Golden Age to present, along with incredible original art! "Comic Book Legends: Joe, Andy and Adam Kubert" -- featuring a stunning array of art from the family's private collection. (The exhibits run through January 13th, 2008... the Comic Book Convention is for one day only!). "Greg Hildebrandt: Golden and Silver Age of Superheroes" -- amazing murals featuring iconic DC and Marvel heroes. "Dulce Pinzon: The Real Story of Superheroes" -- Photo display There will be hundreds of thousands of comic books for sale, from bargain "readers" to investment grade CGC's. A "No Minimum Bid" auction will held at noon. A trivia contest will be held at 1:30 for hundreds of dollars worth of comics! There will also be tons of goodies and some items that will be EXCLUSIVE to this show! Confirmed guest artists and writers so far... Comics, former online editor for DC Comics Andre Szymanowicz - Publisher of Groove Junction Rashida Lewis - Artist, Sandstorm After Hours Press - NJ Based Publisher - After Hours is looking to expand their line and is seeking new talent-so bring your portfolios for review!) Buddy Scalera - Writer, Deadpool, Weapon X, 7 Days to Fame, Necrotic, Comic Artist's Photo Reference, former Wizard Online Editor Joe Caramagna- Writer, Model Operandi, Inker, 7 Days to Fame, Marvel Comics Letterer Dennis Budd - Artist, Model Operandi, artist Lord of the Rings trading cards, artist Star Wars trading cards Jason Baroody - Artist Gary Fields - Artist - Cracked magazine, Nickelodean Magazine, DC Comics Cartoon Network Comics Steve Conte - Creator - "Action Figure Kingdom" & Proprietor of Funnybooks Comics Shop in Lake Hiawatha, NJ Ziggy Blumenthal - Artist - Pajama Pants & Side-Kicked Will Torres - Artist At 6:00 pm, legendary cartoonist Jerry Robinson (Yes, the man responsible for creating a tremendous amount of the BATMAN mythos, and so much more) will be giving a lecture AFTER the dealers room closes. Seating is VERY limited. There is a fee of $15 to attend the lecture (all proceeds go to the museum), but that also gives you admission to the museum exhibits throughout the day and the Comic Convention as well - what a bargain!
