My second year as 'visiting artist" at MCAD is in full swing -- I'm teaching comics and figure drawing -- but still keeping up with my ongoing monthly inking gig at DC ("THE BATMAN STRIKES"). In addition to that, I continue to provide covers for "SCARY MONSTERS" magazine -- and squeeze in a few other projects when I can -- like "A KILLING IN COMICS," a new mystery novel by my "MS.TREE" partner Max Allan Collins -- chock full of cartoon illos by me -- and a cover by me, too! That's just out -- and available from most any bookstore (and amazon.com). Coming very soon -- a MS. TREE novel by Max -- "DEADLY BELOVED" from Hardcase Crime -- with a cover painting by me. The big news is that both JOHNNY DYNAMITE and MS. TREE may be coming to the small screen next year. A JD pilot is in the works, thanks to writer J.H. Wyman ("Keen Eddie") director D. J. Caruso ("Disturbia") and Dick Wolf Productions ("Law and Order") -- and the Oxygen network is developing a MS. TREE pilot. Keep checking my blogspot site for updates.
