I've just finished an eleven year run inking DC Comics' animated style BATMAN comics. Several new projects are in the works -- and in the meantime I'm taking commissions from fans and collectors and selling art on eBay (seller ID "beattylee"). In addition to that, I continue to provide covers for "SCARY MONSTERS" magazine. Other recent projects include "A KILLING IN COMICS" and "STRIP FOR MURDER," mystery novels by my "MS.TREE" partner Max Allan Collins -- chock full of cartoon illos by me -- and covers by me, too! There's also a MS. TREE novel by Max -- "DEADLY BELOVED" from Hardcase Crime -- with a cover painting by me. My sculpting projects include a line of carnival sideshow freak figures cast in resin. Contact me for details if you're interested. Some of my work is starting to be shown in galleries, including in the currently-running "Tura! Tura! Tura!" show at the Tattoo Factory Gallery in Chicago. The big news is that both JOHNNY DYNAMITE and MS. TREE may be coming to the small screen sometime soon. A JD pilot is in the works, thanks to writer J.H. Wyman ("Keen Eddie") director D. J. Caruso ("Disturbia") and Dick Wolf Productions ("Law and Order") -- and the Oxygen Network is developing a MS.
