Hello All.

I'm a Massachusetts-based freelance Illustrator, comic book artist and
self -publisher who has had the opportunity to assist inker Rob Stull as
a background inker on Blackjack, 52, Firestorm, Supergirl and the LGH, Vampirella, & Spiderman Adventures. I also produced a Lady Death pin-up for the 1997 Chaos Comics Gallery, which was later turned
into a Trading Card (which I never got a case of...lol)

Brief Bio:

I've Been Drawing since I was 5.

I've been collecting comics since I was 10.

I'm someone who really enjoys & respects the sequential arts.
/ comic books, but honestly, I'm not a real fan of the Industry.
overall (mainly the mainstream)

My taste in comics is quite diverse. I try to read and enjoy just
about everything.

Here are a few of my Favorites:

NAT TURNER - By Kyle Baker
http://kylebaker.com/www/turnerbaker/turner.htm
Honestly...what do I need to say. Beautiful! Brutal! Honest &
much needed. It'll probably disturb most of you, but it's well
worth it.

FINDER - Written & Drawn by Carla Speed McNeil
http://www.lightspeedpress.com/
One of the better written and drawn comics out there. Her art is truly
better than most mainstream artist & she can Definitely give most male
artist a run for their money, particularly those who are "highly overrated". Recently she decided to stop publishing the actual monthly book and has
started showcasing issues online, following up with collected TPB's of
all the online pages.

FELL - By Warren Ellis & Ben Templesmith
http://www.the-engine.net/forum/
Warren has done something which is making most of the mainstream
industry shake in their sneakers....he's proven that it's possible to give people a good, full, dense story for less than $2.00. I would have to read half a years worth of x-men titles (except for Morrison & Whedon's run) to even get a sense of density that I get from ONE issue of FELL. If you're not reading it, Pick it up. Well worth it!

LOVE & ROCKETS - Jaime and GilbertHernandez
http://www.fantagraphics.com/artist/losbros/losbros.html
Come on....what really needs to be said.

One of The Best written, visually stimulating & longest
running comic book series on the stands. Nuff said.

CASANOVA - By Matt Fraction & Gabriel Bá
http://www.mattfraction.com/archives/cat_casanova.php
Warning: You might have a slight headache after reading the first issue, but you'll get use to it...definitely worth the bottle of Tylenol.

SHHHHH - By JASON
http://www.jippicomics.com/english/index.html
I've just about enjoyed every graphic novel he has put out.
Amazing Storytelling abilities & beautiful line work!

Some of My Favorite artist:

George Perez
Gil Kane
Jose' Lopez
John Busema
Sal Busema
Jack Kirby
Steve Diko
Phil Jiminez
Bryan Hitch
JH Williams
JJ Jones
Brian Bolland
Carla Speed McNeil
Chris Cross
Ron Garney
Ed McGuinness
Darywn Cook
Mike Wieringo
Steve Epting
Frank Quitely

That list will continue to grow...

Projects I'm working on & looking to self-publish:

THE GUILD - 40 page, Indy Comic Book zine.

THE BLONDE AVENGER Benefit Portfolio - (long
story regarding this project)

THE CASEY JAMES - Illustrated Pinup Portfolio :
Compilations of Expressions.

"An artist's painting style is as unique as his handwriting; it is a personal calligraphy, a product of each individual's perception of the world. Yet, often, many years are wasted in the pursuit of a "style" when in truth such a search is frequently nothing more than a hit-or-miss attempt to master one technique or another. Technical accomplishments should be acquired from the study of the methods of the great artists of the past."-- Jan DeRuth 1922-1991
