For those artists who accept commissions, a friend of mine (for whom I've done several commissions) is looking for interior artists in her Otaku Survival Guide project. She's been a very respectful and dependable customer who pays on time. She is looking mainly for anime-style images in a variety of styles (black and white or grayscale). Here is her official call for artists:

I am looking for artists for a series of books about Otaku life. Each book is about 24 pages, and includes about 4-6 pictures. For this project, I need artists to draw black and white interior illustrations.

My current budget is about $10-25 per B&W picture, depending on the size and complexity of the image. I also offer all artists that work with me a place in my sponsor ad rotation and I will put a B&W ad for your site in the booklets you worked on.

I already have character designs for the main storytelling characters. The website is still under construction, but you can view it at http://www.otakusurvivalguide.com . I can also send interested people the pdf of the first book.

A variety of artists are wanted for the project, since I need these done by middle to late March. I would like to build long lasting relationships with any artists on this project, because I plan this as a series. If I end up publishing this as a book in the future (which is one of my goals) I will pay you again for the illustrations. A print or pdf copy for your portfolio and artists alley table are also available.

Specifics for art: DPI 400-600, please send in .tiff, and both black and white and grayscale are fine.
