Dear Jarrod, thanks for befriendation (if it can be tell).
For answer to your question about italian comics situation i can use a adgective: poor. Yes, there are a LOT of artists and energy in creative people, but there aren't not te same energy from publishers. Publishers not believe in comics as a good investiment.
Is very sad for us artist.
