The greatest heroes of the world are gone, and a new generation must rise to discover their full potential. Will they change the world, or self-destruct?

The Uniques is a comic about a world. In a world where people with superhuman abilities known as 'uniques' are a common part of society, how does society change? Why would a person with the ability to control electricity become a crimefighter or villain instead of just going to work at a power company? And if most uniques choose lives as normal as they can manage, what of those who want to use their abilities to make a real difference?

The Uniques is a comic about growing up. In 1994, the majority of the greatest and most powerful heroes in our world are lost. As others rush to fill the void, a group of teenagers come together to do something different. Some want to fulfill their parents' legacies, others just want to find friendship among people who understand them, and still others want to completely change the world. The idealism of youth, the mad hopefulness, the feeling that everything is new and possible - together, these teens enter a wider world unaware of the hidden dangers that watch them and wait.

The Uniques is a comic about compromises. What would you give up to realize your dreams? And what if your dreams don't turn out to be all you'd hoped? These teen heroes are faced with hard choices and impossible situations, and their values and goals and hopes are all tested time and again. No good comes without compromise, and no justice is absolute. How far do you hope to get, and how much are you willing to sacrifice to get there?

The Uniques, above all, is a comic about people. These are normal kids with extraordinary abilities in extraordinary circumstances. These are teenagers who act, think and talk like actual teenagers. This is not a book about powers or costumes, but about the interaction of people, how we relate to each other, and how our world would be shaped by the existence of inexplicable powers that literally defy physics in the hands of random humans. What would normal people do when given this power? Most would try their best to have a simple life, but some would want more. Some would become heroes.

The Writer/Artist husband-and-wife team of Comfort Love and Adam Withers present a comic created through absolute collaboration. Every page is co-written, co-penciled, and co-colored for a total synthesis of two creative minds. Together, they tell the story of the first of a new generation as they come into their own in the wake of a great tragedy. These teens face a new world, and try all they can to stand for something good and pure when everything around them is falling down. What comes next is the story of how these kids grow into the men and women they become, and the about world they make.
