I don't know why it took me so long to join ComicSpace, but an all-comics community is a pretty swell place to be, so here we are!

Third Rail Design Lab is a comics and illustration site that features original comic illustration, design and sequential art done under the TRDL brand. I do commission art, some limited commercial projects as time permits, and also publish a graphic serial, Finit-e, which may be viewed on the TRDL site through a comic reader, or downloaded as a PDF. Joao Marques is my international partner and co-designs an illustrates many of the TRDL original characters.

The TRDL original universe is a worldbuilding project of some complexity. The timeline and primary story of this cohesive universe are available in the TRDL Sourcebook, which is a 100-page full color volume reminiscent of the classic Marvel Handbooks in style. It also includes the first chapter of Finit-e as a bonus. We will add more story content and sequential art set in the TRDL Universe as we go, so it's worth it to check back from time to time.

We publish new, original TRDL content every Friday on the TRDL site, and Finit-e is published scene-by-scene as I manage to get it done...
All of this content is viewable at no charge!

Products available for sale include the TRDL Sourcebooks (100-page color TPB), various and sundry TRDL branded merchandise for the loyalists (t-shirts and the like) and original commission illustrated works.

Lastly, I host the R3 Forum, a message board that supports TRDL that includes entertainment and comic reviews, news and more, as well as a weekly art jam, where all participants take their personal stab at a randomly selected character. All artists are welcome!
