Thumpculture
Thumpculture is a slice-of-life martial arts romantic comedy interdimensional sci-fi fantasy drama soap opera sitcom. Further explanation would seem extraneous at this point; better by far to simply go and read it.It is updated every week... pretty much... at: www.thumpculture.com Bookmark it / add it to your favourites, and you will enjoy a life of substantially enriched wonderfulness. That's a PROMISE! Thumpculture is written, pencilled, inked, painted, coloured, uploaded, web-designed, watered and fed by UK-based freelance illustrator and comics artist Neill Cameron. Further examples of Neill's work can be seen at his own website: www.neillcameron.com. Thumpculture is BACK after a short break wherein I drew a 128-page graphic novel adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry V (see www.classicalcomics.com) - out on Nov 5th - and then illustrated an 80-page full-colour online interactive comic for the BBC (launching soon - watch this space for more details). What can I say, a chap has to pay the bills. Mouths to feed, and all that, what? I have another big-ass full-time comics project coming right up, but will endeavour to keep Thumpculture on a bit more of an even keel this time. I do my best, honest guv I do. Neill is a professional illustrator and is always open to hearing of interesting commissions. He can be contacted by E-mail. Sample pages:

Great to see the return of The Thump...
Hope you got a link to your contributors copy of 100% Biodegradable(I sent it this morning to your hotmail address). Let me know if you didn't get the link and I'll send it again.
Best of luck in your continued quest to take over the world (Bognor's yours for the taking, if you want it). |

Heya Neill,
just thought I'd mention that reading Thumpculture a few months back is partly responsible for getting me back into comics after all this time away (John Kirkham and John Freeman are also guilty of this charge). So many thanks for that! You continue to be an inspiration.
PS - You're drawing Shakespeare now? There better be giant robots in it or I'll be most disappointed... 1 Reply [ Latest posted on May 31st, 2007 4:14 PM ]

Prepare to be disappointed, dude. :(
Anyway, very glad to hear I have played a part in getting you back to comics - looking forward to seeing lots of good stuff from you in future... |

Neill, mate, really enjoying this - had to give it a plug over on the main blog (http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/?p=2731) and pinched a pic to illustrate it, hope ya don't mind. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on February 8th, 2007 7:15 AM ]

Livesey reckons that we gave you the idea to do a webcomic in the first place. I'm sceptical, but am more than willing to bask in your reflected glory.
Oh yeah, the comic's ace by the way! 1 Reply [ Latest posted on February 7th, 2007 4:20 AM ]

No, Livesay is right, you totally did. You and Garen, anyway. Loving your art on the monkey lately, by the way! |
