| Bulletin: | Phil & I dropped into Newsarama for an interview about our new SLG release called Contraband. Here's an quick excerpt: [I]NEWSARAMA: The lead character is Toby, who could be best described as a "citizen journalist" into this burgeoning field of documenting crimes on his mobile phone. What's he about when the story first starts? TB: Toby is stuck working at a run-down Internet café in North London when he’d rather be out capturing cool and relevant events on his camera phone. His workplace is littered with “late adopters” - social laggards without mobiles who still need computers to communicate and access online content. One day a rather outspoken businessman Tucker and his sidekick Plugger are there involved in heated (and illegal) video content negotiations. Unable to suppress his desire to film sensational events, Toby captures the deal on his phone - but is then caught in the act by Tucker. Fearing for his life, Toby’s bullied into hunting down Charlotte, a female activist responsible for sabotaging this ruthless entrepreneur’s cell-phone channel Contraband. I suppose you could say Toby was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or was he…[I/] For the rest of the interview, check out: http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=140991 Have a cool week...TJ |
