CONCERNING THE UPCOMING INDYFEST USA SHOW IN SEPTEMBER

Indyfest USA as a concept is simple: Build a yearly show where publishers of anything - Comics, Music, Zines, Films - can intermingle their audiences, and cross breed awareness of the Small Press/Self Publishing world.

In practice, it's taken over a year of chatter and discussion, and research and making friends, to get us to today, where we can announce the first stage of building the show.

When Jeff Harper heard that I was planning a show in September, 2008, in NE Ohio, he wrote to me to mention he's already got a comics show going. That lead to me meeting him at the 2007 version of his Wickliffe show. We discussed some ideas over the next couple months, and met again in January. There, we figured out some things to make Indyfest USA happen. Which it will, September 21st, 2008 at the Knights of Columbus hall in Wickliffe, Ohio.

Indyfest is going to have 15 - 8 foot tables at this show. We are going to sell the space in 4 foot segments, $25 for a spot, $40 for a whole table. EVERY PENNY of the table money for those 15 tables will be used by the Indyfest committee to promote Indyfest USA, with fliers and local advertising, news promotion, everything we can do to make it known that there will be new, different sorts of things at this show...which will also have comic/media retailers set up...but that is going to be promoted completely separate.

At this time, we are accepting applicants for those table spots. Payment can be done through PayPal (send to Ian@dimestoreproductions.com) or by mail-in. Please write to us at Indyfest@dimestoreproductions.com to reserve your spot at this show, or ask any questions! We will have Directions, Local Lodging info, and guest info up very soon!
