| Bulletin: | So I have this new job, right? Yeah? It's a pretty sweet job, but it gives me maybe ten hours a week and so I don't make very much money. Now, I could do the logical thing and get another entry-level job. I could bag groceries at the supermarket or some such. But I'd much rather be drawing. So I thought to myself, "hey, self, you've been doing this really amateur freelance thing for awhile. Why don't you actually try to make something of it? 'Cause, self, it really isn't as if you haven't got the time". This is the reason why nothing new and Case Files related has come out of me the past couple of weeks--I've been superbusy putting together an actual, honest-to-God professional illustration portfolio. It's going well--a bit slowly, but well. I want to make sure I do this right. When I get enough money from my "real job" into my checking account, my website will be taken down, ripped apart, put back together and re-uploaded to make it look like I know what I'm doing with all this art business. It scares the crap out of me, but at the same time I am OH SO VERY PSYCHED. I'm looking to start mailings early next month. Anyone on ComicSpace want a disposable portfolio o' mine sent to them? C'mon. You know you're curious, right? Yeah? Right? |
