I rent a room from my younger brother and am typing beneath the bunk-bed I made. I have an aluminum contractor's license because it pays the bills but I feel like a dying pelican in a tar-pit under the scorching sun when I'm doing construction stuff instead of writing, drawing, and creating. I'm a late bloomer but hope to complete a self-produced comic book this year:) Maybe, now that I'm old(er) and have had my "face kicked in" over the years by life and what-not my stories may actually be ABOUT something other than nothing.
My hope is to glorify God while doing my "non-Christian" art and stories. I don't want to preach in them at all but rather let any subtext develop organically--if you see something deeper than what I intended--great! We all have stories to tell and these stories are always shaped by the totality of who and what we are; according to our life experiences, personality, and beliefs. Hopefully my experiences won't be wasted but might produce a giggle in someone feeling down or, inspire a guy who questions whether it's worth it to take the next breath or, just simply entertain a kid, woman or, man so at the very least, they don't walk away any worse than when they viewed art and read my stories.
all right, gotta go--my brother is explaining (passionately) what he has learned about lost Tesla technonlogy--cool stuff!
