BioFrank Dirscherl was born in 1973 and has been working as a librarian since 1992. As well as being a writer, he is also a comic book lecturer, amateur history buff and publisher of Trinity Comics, where he writes the multi-Ledger nominated The Wraith comic book series. His written works include The Wraith (filmed in 2005), Valley of Evil, Cult of the Damned (due in 2009), Deadly Owl (due in 2009), the Lance Star - Sky Ranger anthology, the non-fiction The Wraith: Eyes of Judgment - The Official Script Book & Movie Guide and the screenplay to The Wraith: Eyes of Judgment short film. He’s also contributed to a variety of pulp anthologies and edited a non-fiction book on independent filmmaking. He lives on the south coast of NSW, Australia with his wife Jennifer, where he’s currently working on a variety of written projects. The art, superbly crafted by the likes of Roland Bird, Jeff Welborn, Blake Wilkie and others, is influenced by those eras of comics, and we're proud to be presenting comics that some consider "retro", but what we here at Trinity consider simply quality stories. The writing is, again, a mix of that era of comic book and the exciting melodrama of the pulps. The Spider fought villains that were a mix of the mundane (ie. crime-lords, robbers, murderers etc.) and the fantastic (eg. creatures, invaders, conquerors, mad scientists etc.), and we're following that path with The Wraith, albeit in a modern setting. Combined with a healthy dollop of intrigue, mystery, romance and, at times, current events, we feel The Wraith has something for everyone. I created The Wraith back in 1998 as my homage to those classic pulp novel characters the Shadow and the Spider. Originally intended to feature in a novel, the character bounced around in my head until 2001 when his original look was fully realised by an artist friend. Then, in 2002, the character's second look was readied, and The Wraith series was born in April 2004 with the publication of The Wraith #0 comic book. The Wraith's final look was revealed on The Wraith's Lair website in 2004, in The Wraith: Eyes of Judgment film in 2005, on book covers and posters, and in The Wraith #1, which premiered in April 2007. Three comic books are currently available in the series, with more to follow. Hopefully we'll meet one day. I'll probably be living in the US in the next couple years or so, so the chances of it happening then are much more likely.

Frank--Just got my copy of The Wraith paperback novel and it's a REALLY fun read. Have been a fan of Kenneth Robeson's Doc Savage and The Avenger books for years and The Wraith reminds me of Robeson at his best.
