My love of comics began thanks to action figures and the X-Men arcade game and has gone on to become an obsession that drains my wallet and my time. Unfortunately, I am in North Carolina which until a few years ago was a wasteland without good comic stores.

I write a trio of columns for Wizard Universe on a weekly basis. I handle The Hot List, TV Rewind and the DVD releases each week. I also freelance here and there, so if you pick up an issue of Wizard you might see me in it, unless you're blinded by your rage or something. I also review films for CHUD if you're interested in knowing my opinion on great movies like The Wicker Man.

My comics message board of choice (everyone has one, right?) is BSS on the Something Awful forums. I also pop in and out of the Wizard Universe boards for giggles.

Here's the part where I give thanks to the great comic book shops in this area: Plan 9 Comics in Boone, Silver Bullet Comics in Winston-Salem and Acme Comics in Greensboro. You're all great. Lots of praise also goes out to Heroes Con, keeping the dream alive in the Carolinas.
