I have been an avid comic book collector since 1974 and have run my own vintage collectibles business ARCHANGELS since 1988. Born in San Diego, raised in La Jolla by the greatest parents in the world and a graduate of USC (class of 1990). I am a huge, but quite frustrated Philadelphia Eagles fan, still anxiously looking for our first Super Bowl win. My creative team and I have been working on my very first graphic novel entitled Luna: Moon-Hunter, which we have scheduled to be released sometime in the summer of 2008. A Judeo-Christian faith-based epic saga that revolves around a beautiful female Scythian archer who battles the Nephilim in near future apocalyptic London. In Memory of Drew: The artist's Artist!  Drew Posada (1969-2007) was the comic book colorist par excellence (the "Jedi-Master Yoda" of colorists as he put it) and an ultra-talented pin-up artist in his own right. I had the privilege of only knowing him for a short time, but in that period we had become fast friends, talking for hours on end about the graphic novel we were working on, our own personal lives, hopes, dreams, fears and a great deal of other subject matter. Kindred spirits. Drew passed away in the hospital from complications of acute pancreatitis late Thursady night January 4, 2007. He was 37 years old. He is survived by his identical twin brother Alex, who likewise is a phenomenal artist, to whom Drew looked up to and always spoke of with great love and admiration. Drew’s death has grieved me beyond description. So unexpected and sudden. Blindsiding me without warning. One day we were working on a panoramic double-page spread in the GN and the next he was gone. I guess I always thought that I would see and speak with him again. And I never had a chance to say goodbye.  Red by Drew Below are two of the three images Drew illustrated for Luna. These represent some of the final pieces of artwork he would ever do. The third and final piece is the cover for Luna #1, which will stand as a testament to Drew’s remarkable talent and his relentless drive for absolute excellence in every piece he painted, is now posted in the Luna gallery section. Never, ever one to compromise quality, take short cuts or settle for mere mediocrity made Drew a truly great illustrator and painter. The artist’s Artist! Commanding tremendous respect and admiration from peer and fan alike. His remarkable body of work testifies to this fact much more than any words could possibly do. Above all, Drew was my friend.
