I've been into comic book heroes and the mythology behind them since I can remember. I like well written stories that attempt to achieve a depth of the human spirit, other wise I like to see a well drawn ass-kicking ;o)
Currently, I buy Wolverine and Wolverine:Origins, and The Walking Dead. I get the occasional graphic novel which is easier to store than the comic books they collect. I have a large collection of Daredevil, X-Men, Wolverine, Punisher, and Spider-Man back issues, along with with many spin-offs and oddities. Please MARVEL, no more silly Punisher books. It's the 90s all over again! Stick with a couple of titles that deliver, not 5 that don't. I like to write and have notes for a long running series that has potential for a whole range of media, be it movies, T.V, comic books, animated features. So far, I've written part of a novel, and part of a pilot screenplay. I'm interested in writing a comic script for it. I have a great many synopsis written that can easily be updated. I have a short story on myspace, in my blog section, if you are interested. It's a zombie story, for you undead fans out there. I love movies, television, and music. Somehow, I still find time for a life offline. :) Two shows that stand out, at the moment are Heroes and Supernatural. I urge, particular my American friends, to watch Supernatural; A series that picked up pace part of the way through Season 1 and has got better with it. Season 2 is due, on ITV2 in the UK, on 04/02/07. In the US it is going up against CSI and Grey's Anatomy. Quite a harsh time slot. The show needs all the support it can get. See myspace for further details of interests; http://www.myspace.com/wayfarer2006 My blog (although it's new, so nothing much of interest is on there, yet) http://wayfarer2006.blogspot.com/ I'm on myspace IM, for anyone that's interested in that kind of thing. Mini-Reviews: Wolverine #50 There was a big ad campaign on this one, in my local store. Postcards, posters, showing yet another Wolverine/Sabretooth scrap. When the issue came out last week, I expected a new twist on the relationship. Sadly, it was mainly repetition, as if attempting to appeal to newer readers who hadn't come across the death of Silver fox before. There was a mention of a race called the Lupines, hinting that Creed and Logan might be members of this race. I really hope that this isn't another purile attempt to create another mythos for Wolverine. I'd hate to find that Logan and Creed were supposed to have descended from this race. Next they'll be saying that neither Logan or Creed are actually mutants and that their gifts of regeneration are natural. That'd contradict many stories where Wolverine lost his mutant abilities. Overall a poor issue. 3/10 The Walking Dead #34 *spoilers* It isn't very often that I get actual goosebumps from reading a comic book, but I did reading this one. What began as a possibly ponderous story dealing with the previous issue's events became a frenetic battle for survival in a living dead infested woods. The group escape and make their way to the prison. Turning a page to a double page spread gave me goosebumps; the prison is overrun by the dead. Kirkman, you've done it again! Quality issue! 9/10 wayfarer's BulletinsDisplaying 1-1 of 1 bulletins...
