I WAS SO NAÏVE!!! I self-published a run of 120 FCBD comics, a 16-pager of short stories. My local retailer accepted the donation... sight-unseen. When I walked in on May 3rd, I was apologized to for their inability to display my books due to nudity. *sigh*

If you would like a free copy, this link will take you to my blog profile; scroll down to the applicable PayPal button (apologies, but I cannot absorb the shipping cost). You have the option to add a donation, if you so desire, though it is by no means obligatory.

I've got story ideas coming out the yinyang, & neither the time nor the will to draw them all. Decisions decisions - such is life, eh?

The script for my first graphic novel has been in the can for a while. I've decided to illustrate it myself. Sixty-odd-pages is intimidating. I think it needs another draft, though, because my writing sensibilities have changed.

Speaking of which, I'm working on two more scripts. And, as you can see in my gallery, I'm tackling Young American Comics' 52 Comic Challenges. They are great fun & useful exercises.

My two vomit stories, as well as mine & Amanda's Crash! Boom! Bang! story, have been submitted for publication. Fingers are crossed.

Something else you can see in my gallery is that I enjoy collaborating with other writers. It's extremely cool when two writers can drop their egos & open their minds to possibilities.

Someday I'd like to work on a project where several artists interpret a single 2 or 3 page story. To me it would be like listening to several different bands interpret the same song.

While I'm at it, I may as well pimp the music I used to make, posted at myspace.com/_wbm. I'm a rock guitarist, but you'd never know it from these electronic forays.

Slugs Noir Preview (jul07)

Written by Kaltrop, drawn by me, this is the first page of a nine-page Part One of a multi-chapter story. I'm hoping it's good enough to see the light of publishing day.

Metapatriot (mar07)

Ultimate Comics Group sent me these pages of Daniel White's pencils for me to ink as a test. I reluctantly turned down the job offer (no American work visa). I must save my volunteering for labours of love ;) This logo isn't the official MP logo.

City For a Dime (jan07)

Amanda Robertson, the writer of this story, & I hope City For a Dime gets published. Presented here is a small excerpt from the 2-page tale. UPDATE: It was published in the 2007 small town/BIG CITY anthology from Young American Comics! YAY!

Ricardo in Heart's Desire (dec06)

The Ricardo character was created, originally drawn & web-published by Esmeralda Rupp-Spangle, inspired by Saint Amaimon. A couple of people have web-published their takes on Ricardo, and this one is mine. Esmeralda gave it a good review.

Cocoa the Clown in Cocoa vs. Death Dog Dollah Ninee-Nine (oct06)

Cocoa the Clown was created, originally drawn & web-published by Saint Amaimon. Many have interpreted Cocoa in a variety of styles. This story was written by Klaproth, who seemed to dig my interpretation. The finished strip is here.

Thanks. Could't figure out whether or not people would find it provocing. But actually I didn't care :)

Yes....I was with my dad and drank so fucking much that my dad forced me to stay one day with no Alchohol. That was the least favorite day in Canada. I drank a shitload of Molsens.

I am way down to send you a story that is short. I am pretty busy with my bullshit day job (which might fire me) getting married in may and working with my current artist on my comic. But yeah I am down. I have tons of shit. I write long though so I will have to work on something short.

So, you're a writer but not an artist? Where can I check some of your writing, and what kind of art do you dig?

Remove[ Posted by R_Henry on Feb 26th, 2007 9:03 PM ]...

Sorry it took me so long to reply.....Good Question (you asked what kind of art I dig)....Well I don't know. I love all art with the exceptions of Stick figures which is all I can draw.

As far as checking out my writting; I don't have a real site yet I am currently working on a graphic novel/comic book with an artist (who isn't) as well as a screenplay, a few short stories, and have written bits and pieces of a novel.

How bout you? What you doing? You are a artist and a writer, and muscian. And Canadian!! Hey hosier. LOL I love Canda. I went fishing there with my pops in Ontairo Lake of the woods. Lots of fun.

Well anyways I shut up now later.

I'm doing fine, thank you very much!

You're right, no matter which way you interpret the word nuts, it's definitely something you don't want to read on a girl's panties. :D

Yeah, that's actually pretty cool. A click and a long conversation unfolds.
Well, I will get back to the drawings ...

Thanks. Still trying to break through with the comic. It's easy to drown in the ocean of online comics.

Yeah, it's like how music started to overwhelm the net in the late 90s.

I wish this comment strip had more than one tier of reply. I like how people can have entire conversations in a livejournal-type blog.

Yeah, that's right. Thank for for the comment :) Nice to have someone actually writing a comment instead of those "thanks for the add"-things.

I have just uploaded a comic to my archive. By the way. Another experiment that boiled in my head for too long.

Tell me about it. For a site full of creative-types, there is a whole lotta generic response.

I like your surrealness.

William,
Thank you so much for the Add and your comments...
Your work by the way looks like AMAZING fun...
I got to tell you, in 1976 (Am I aging myself too much) the feeling I got when I opened a comic is not to far off to my feeling now with comics...I truly feel like Comics will always make me feel like a kid even though I am 40+ years old...
Ironically....I still remember the 2 comics I bought first...Amazing Spiderman 155 and Marvel Team-up 44...how is that for lifelong impace...
Anyway William...it's and honor to meet you too and thanks for saying HI!

It is fun ;)

I left comic fandom for a number of years when I lost interest in superheroes & the urge to play guitar hit me. Then Miller's Sin City brought me back. Now, drawing makes me feel like I did when I discovered Spider-Man all those years ago.

The first comic I remember buying was Hercules Limited Series #1. I read it so ragged that I can't remember if the cover is still attached ;)

in your picture, are you pressing play or record?
Thanks for the add.
