Been waiting for a community like this since,.. well a really long time. I guess it's time to dust off the rusty pencil, and do something productive.
Things I used to do: portraits in graphite, sculpting,(with anything available, sculpey, clay, metal, etc...)Watercolor, sharpies, flash art for tattoos, sign work, and some comics that fell from a haze in the 'ol days with "yellowphantom"
Now I have 2 kids a mortgage,and more bills than a ballcap factory in China.
My parents said I'd never make a living drawing, so I got a "real" job. Now that I have kids, I realize...parents can be wrong, just like everyone else.about 7 years ago i decided to start painting again,and still do to this day, Houses, cars, strip malls, industrial buildings,etc,...no I'm not a tagger,professional painter of the wrong kind! hopefully I will find inspiration here to get back to what I really love,even if it wont pay the bills.
huge fan of: Frank Miller,Simon Beasley, all the artists for heavy metal magazine, cerebus, too much coffee man,Dawn, Joe linsner is a real cool dude,you can measure his success by his waist line! and a heap of others I don't have room to list. Most of all, Mr. Kyle,and all of you that have the balls to plug away at what you love!crazy is, crazy does...cheers!!!
