About my webcomic Suspicious Minds...It's about Bryan (9) a die hard Mac and Elvis fan (Cape included) and his brother Ben (12) who sees conspiracies everywhere and believes everything he reads on the web. They are currently on the trail of the Mysterious "Illumin-Naughty". A secret organization that seeks to control the whole world. It is composed of: Colonel Sanders, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Father Guido Sarducci, and David Hasselhoff. Oh and is also littered with the ocassional obscure Australian references. Currently the boys have stumbled on to the Fisted Cane of King "Toot-N-Smoothie" the first Pimp. Not to mention Bryan accidently summoning up the Ghost of Sammy Davis Jr.[/url] About Me...I was born in a remote fishing village in Norway. At an early age I was sent (by ship) to England where I was to receive a special surgery to remove a rather large hump on my right shoulder blade that I had named "Bob". The ship became tossed in a sudden storm. The captain, being gripped with fear, ordered me to be thrown overboard. In an attempt to please the "Gods". (I found out later that he had grown tired of my rambling.) Being washed ashore in Spain, I was rescued by a hostile and sarcastic cobbler. From him I learned a valuable skill that would serve me well. Sarcasm... and making a really comfortable pair of shoes. It was with those shoes I traveled Europe seeking to help others that were without sarcasm. Eventually I tired of trying to help others (and being beaten across Europe for being sarcastic) so I traveled to the Americas. My crippling fear of the dreaded Canadians forced me to choose the route via Mexico. To this day the thought of their "friendliness" chills me to the bone. Somewhere in the Rio Grand I lost "Bob". (Remember the hump on my back from childhood?)-Yeah, all that was a lie..."The details of my life are quite inconsequential."I'm a pretty average guy. No really! I work in the Printing Industry, "herding cats", and have a wonderful wife and two great kids. The comic (and WWC for that matter) is just a creative outlet for myself. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention... I'm not Australian!I just happen to have some really Awesome-Aussies on my Forum. So everything I know about Australia is from them. So you could say I have learned about it through "Oz-mosiss!" *Free Perth,... or die trying!

Hi, how are you? Our studio recently put a new site up. pencily.com is a great source of inspiration for illustrators, animators and designers, so I hope you find it as useful as we do!
All the best,

My favs... "untitled 6" - Chicks face in the last panel... "Untitled 7" - last panel again... the guy in the "elevator" really like the perspective.
Nice city scene in "Untitled 8" as well. (kept digging...) "Troy" is a pretty wicked page!I like the angle on teh guy lifting the car on "Page1" that is in that set.
"DD01" is really great! (I'll dig more later, gotta run... bt these pages look great! But that is stating the obvious.) |

I always thought it would look nice on the inside of a book jacket. You know... the kind "With the look and feel of hand tooled leather." |

From one Mac fan cartoonist to another, thanks for the add. You've got some great layouts going on. I'm looking forward to checking out your archives when I get a chance. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on January 16th, 2007 11:28 AM ]

Yeah... us mac guys gotta stick together. Now it seems everyone is getting mac happy. I like saying I was "mac" when mac wasn't cool!
Thanks for checking out my comic!
I'm hoping to clean out the archive soon and remove the guest strips and fan art into it's own page. Oh... and more the pages where I was painting a mural in my kids room too.
Way too much clutter in that archive. Fair warning... :P |

Nice to meet you Michael! Suspicious minds is cracking fun, best of luck with it. I would ask you to swing by the Lounge, but our website went wrong during an update. So all we have at the moment is a meagre blog. Feel free to check it out though(but it's not as cool as yours!)

I strummed through the blog today. (Noticed the your site was down.) Some really great stuff posted on the blog portion though! Didn't have time to give it the attention it deserved though. I'm hoping to get back for a longer look soon.
Thanks for the kind words about "SM" it's been a lot of fun to play with. |

Have you heard about the Australian tendency to abbreviate everything yet? The beauty of it is, it's an abbreviation system where the abbreviation doesn't necessarily have to be any shorter than the word that it's abbreviating-- Breakfast is "brekkie", a present is a "pressie", and (my personal favorite), lammy cakes are "lammies".
Mmmm...lammies...uh, anyway, I like Suspicious Minds so far, although I am somewhat confused by the inclusion of David Hasselhoff in the Illumin-naughty. Oprah, sure, but Hasselhoff? |
