I'm a life-long comic book collector, although I'm not buying as many new titles as I used to back in high school/college. I started way-back-when with Amazing Spider-Man, Batman and Action Comics.
For a while, I co-hosted a comic book news/review TV program on a local public access channel. When I worked as a reporter (and later, an editor) at a newspaper, I did stories on area writers, conventions and wrote some reviews.
Currently, I'm reading "Batman and the Outsiders", "Robin", "Justice Society of America" and "Spider-Girl" on a regular basis. Most of my collecting, though, is done in the 50 cent bins at conventions. I'm much more interested in back issues (anything from the 1970s)than in current comics.
