Impaler has been nominated for an International Horror Guild award. For more information, please visit: www.horroraward.org/

Here's what folks are saying about Impaler:

“The story is masterfully plotted to crescendo in each issue, teasing and tempting the reader to come back for more…this is a great read.”
–Ain’t It Cool News

"Impaler deftly restores the bloodsuckers--and their figurehead, Vlad Dracula--to absolutely epic creatures-of-the-night. Buy this book, or I'll cancel your Rue Morgue subscription!"
--Rue Morgue Magazine

"Impaler begins a new ongoing at Image that, one hopes, can do for vampires what The Walking Dead did for zombies. Rating: A."
--Cinescape

"Dark, foreboding and a great read. Rating: Must Read."
--IGN Comics

"Writer William Harms gives us what might be the freshest reinterpretation of the vampire mythos in years, but the real wow factor of this book is the standout art by Toronto’s Nick Postic and Nick Marinkovich. The mood is dark and creepy thanks to the Nicks’ use of shades and shadows and the impending bloodfest over the coming issues promises to be spectacular. Rating: 4 Stars (out of 4)."
--Metro (Toronto)

"[Impaler] has an amazing pull for a premier issue, superb narrative and the best dialog outside of Alias I've read."
--Newsarama

In addition, I wrote the graphic novels Abel and Bad Mojo, both published by AiT/Planet Lar. I also recently completed work on a Wolverine story for Marvel Comics.

I work fulltime at Gas Powered Games as Editorial Manager.

Hey William -- just finished #1 and #2 of IMPALER... I am really looking forward to where you are going with this. Beyond the good story and pacing, I think you've made some great decisions in the overall production of the book, including the foreshadowing (in the previews, "from the author," etc) of impending total doom and destruction.

Very cool stuff.

I also think that the artwork, particularly how the vampires have been captured -- that whole creepy-ass black smoke effect -- is fantastic.

Great comic, brother. Looking forward to more of these. I haven't seen the long-term plan... Limited series?

Thanks, Evan. Things definitely take a turn for the worse...much worse. Right now the book is planned as an ongoing, but we might break it into different "seasons"...we'll see how things shake out.

Thanks for all the support IGN has given us. It's much appreciated.

(And I think you'll really like # 3!)

Thanks for the add, William. Hope you can find something at my website that appeals to you - we have our own take on the world of vampires starting in January (very different slant to Impaler!) which you might be interested in!

I'm enjoying Impaler a lot. Looking forward to see everything unfold!

Thanks. The Nicks do a great job of blending the vampires into the shadows.

Probably the best use of solid black I've seen in any art ever.

I'm going to win that contest for sure!
