My name is Jordan I draw comics, do graphic design, run a sign shop, run Boston's chapter of the Graphic Artists Guild and I also publish a zine called We Must Become Our Heroes. Sometimes I sleep.

The magazine is a pet project of mine, it is dedicated to personal empowerment through cultural dissection. The first issue came out at the Small Press Expo a few months ago. It features a six-page comic about losing someone I loved dearly, a career-spanning interview with Animal, lead singer of infamous UK punks, the Anti-Nowhere League and a heart-kicking love letter to pre-Katrina New Orleans written by former resident Sarah Jaffe and drawn by dirty Victorian illustrator Molly Crabapple. There are also ten pages of comics, including a black and white eulogy that confronts mortality and challenges the notion of unnecessarily prolonging the lives of our loved ones. It’s 32 pages of real, true culture smeared onto newsprint and stapled twice in the middle just for you...

Please say hi. I'm interested in meeting comics creators, graphic designers and illustrators and publishers and people who might be into what I am doing.

Jordan hates the Irish. Other than that, he's ok.

Thanks for the add, Jordan. Since you're into "big themes", you might want to look in on my graphic novel "Shades". It's designed to be read as an exploration of the British national psyche (for those who are into that sort of thing) or a slam-bang, fun-packed action/adventure (for those who aren't!) Or you could just read one of the other comics at my website which are shorter. Either way, hope you find something that appeals!

Your book sounds very ambitious so I was happy to “Friend” you.
Then I see I am the first! Huh. Have we met at MoCCA?

Later,
Tim
