I am on here for the same reason as everyone else, PORN!
I mean COMICS! I am a struggling writer like 2 million other people in LA and my life goals revolve around telling stories and making pictures. I would like to make movies as well, but it is behind Sequential Art and Story Telling by a large sum. I am actively writing as much as I can and some of my short stories can be found here, My Words - Read Them. I am hoping that I can start putting some of those on here soon as well. I have also written a novel that I am trying to find either representation for or out right sell to a publisher. It’s actually much harder than writing the book by far. And since I'm here in LA LA Land, I have been learning the screen writing trade. Written a few, some feature length, some shorts and am seeking representation for that work ass well.
On a more personal note, I grew up in Clinton, CT and graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a degree in Studio Art. I played rugby for many years and would like to get back into it once I have insurance again, and paid my way through school by beating people up. I was a bouncer.
Personal favorites when it comes to comics would be first and foremost, Batman. Say what you will, I will always buy this book. Not all the titles but the main book every month. I read anything Neil Gaiman does, Garth Ennis is amazing, so is Brian K. Vaughan.
Outside of comics I love Robert Heinlein books, Frank Herbert, gotta mention Tolkein, Terry Pratchett, Clive Barker, Jasper Fforde, Chuck Palahniuk, and so many others.
