A long, long time ago, I started reading comics. I even remember the very first comic I bought. It was X-men #142, the second issue of the original storyline that eventually got called "Nightmares of Future Present." It was the one with the X-men in the future and a bunch of other superheroes dead. I was 7 years old.

I've read so many comics since then. The ones I always read when I was growing up, though, were The Fantastic Four, Conan the Barbarian, X-men, and Thor. I had the advantage of having a father who was into comics, so I got to read a lot of the titles he liked. I even got to read two big ole boxes of comics from the 60s. That was pretty cool.

In 1990 (roughly) I started to realize that I could write halfway decent fiction. Since comics were such a huge part of my background, I started to research writing them. In 1991 a friend and I started fleshing out all these sweepingly epic storylines for our favorite comic titles. Sadly, nothing came of that, except for a lot of ideas floating around as well as some character concepts that I still plan on using.

I've finally turned a corner in my life and I've figured out that I should do what I dream, whether I make money doing it or not. It's better to be happy and poor than rich and unfulfilled.

So, I'm plugging away, writing and conceptualizing an entire comic universe. I've written an small armload of scripts. Trying to find an artist has been the hardest part, but hey... I keep trying.

Recently added a bunch of stuff to my ongoing writing project, which is a comic book (well, actually an entire comic book universe) that I, hopefully, intend on self-publishing.

Sadly, my own artistic talents aren't even remotely up to snuff as far as completing any sort of quality sequential work.

I'm very interested in finding an artist who wants to work with me on the project. It probably won't pay very well, if at all, for a while, but it is definitely going to be a long term project with a lot of potential (i hope).

Anyone who is interested, let me know.

(Prolly shouldn't have sent this as a bulletin... Sorry, everyone!)
