I grew up in a small town (Beckley) in WV. Closest store, or actually closest anything, was a 7-11. That was where we went to hang out, play video games in the corner, drink slurpee's and eventually start reading comics off the spinner there. Spider-man and X-men sucked me into the comicbook world and it's been downhill from there. When wednesday is the best day of the week for you, that tell you something.

I read all sorts of stuff now. I'm still reading Spiderman and X-men and I'm probably the most forgiving of their books if the story gets a little lame for a bit. I also read Fables, Invincible, JSA, Y: The Last Man, Ultimate anything, Daredevil, Captain America...it's a long list (and it's posted in my myspace). But I tend to, just like reading novels, follow writers now more than anything else: Brian Bendis, Mark Millar, Ed Brubaker, Sean McKeever, Brian K. Vaughan, Kirkman, Geoff Johns, Warren Ellis and probably a couople I'm forgetting.
