I want to produce science fiction stories that not only entertain but affect the reader in an emotional way. Modern comics have been progressing for the past ten years and sci-fi comics need to catch up. Zebra provides a unique and modern outlet that challenges the audience in a new way. I have been contacting like-minded creators online and at conventions to create work for the web and print. It's a growing process that has created what I think of as a brand new outlet for sci-fi creators and readers, Zebra. The first printed issue (reviewed in podcast #68 on IndieSpinnerRack ) features work by award winning creators and those new to the field (myself included). Stories from that issue and exclusively on the website include: The disease-ridden future tale of Last of the Spitting Baboons The dark fable of animal experimentation Kobuta The twisted journey of reality Looking For Something to Hit The sci-fi opera serial Children of Mars A love letter to Steve Ditko Mystic Interlude Innocent monstrous kids tearing up the future in Effin' Kids

Hi, how are you? Our studio recently put a new site up. pencily.com is a great source of inspiration for illustrators, animators and designers, so I hope you find it as useful as we do!
All the best,

Hey Jameson,
Heard your interview on Indoe Spinner rack, it sounded great. Keep me in the loop with your projects. I just finished up another sci-fi type short story for another anthology and am really digging the sci-fi vibe. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on February 24th, 2007 11:08 AM ]

That's the work of Ed Quinby (I'm trying to Ed on comicspace) and coloring by the great Greg Moutafis (who collaborated with me on 'Looking for Something to Hit').
Another drawing by Ed can be found with the story 'Rage.' He's a very talented artist! |
