this seems like an ideal place to connect with people who want to create some kick ass comics. so I'd like to use this opportunity to seek an artist for a project entitled The Winter King. here's the copy:

The old gods are dead. Their mysteries have long been explained away by man’s ambition to dominate his surroundings, and their namesakes have been sold into slavery as corporate symbols and witty slogans. Corporations run everything, from the government to the military to every aspect of the media and the most prominent corporation is one Odin Enterprises. When Odin Enterprises places a massive billboard in the hills of the outland, Gage, an isolated sheperd who still subscribes to the old Norse beliefs, is forced to make his way to the city to confront the one who defiled his land, and more importantly the one who has defiled the name of Odin. But Gage’s origins, his connection to the ancient mythos that he so firmly believes in, and his massive, yet-untapped potential, brand him a major threat to the status quo…

this is meant to be a fairly dark and gritty book, and while it's surreal in many instances (esp when getting into the mythological aspects of the story) I'd like it to maintain a real, contemporary feel. I'm looking for a serious artist who's willing to do one page per month with me to be released as a webcomic. the story is finite, so after the webcomic wraps up I would like to have the entirety of the series collected in print. I can't pay anyone up front. it's one of those things where this is all in good faith, knowing that it's a partnership with the project, with any and all back end profits split down the middle. so I'm looking for someone who can really get into the story and not worry about the money. if it makes you feel any better, it's not like I'm getting paid either. this is, if I may pat myself on the back for a minute, a damn good story. it's intriguing, mystical, socially conscious, and engrossing. and I think I've done a good job of writing it and making it flow smoothly. but I don't have the skills to illustrate my ideas. hopefully you do.
